PART EIGHT

Safely holding your precious Crypto

Once you've bought your cryptocurrency the most important step is to store it securely to prevent theft or loss. Instead of leaving your crypto on an exchange, which can be vulnerable to hacking, it's safer to transfer your funds to a personal wallet.

There are two main types of wallets: hot wallets, which are connected to the internet (like mobile or desktop wallets) and cold wallets, which are offline storage options such as hardware wallets or paper wallets.

For long-term holding, cold wallets are generally considered the safest because they are unaffected by online threats. To keep your crypto safe always use reputable wallets and enable additional security features such as two-factor authentication.

If you opt for a hardware wallet make sure to keep the device in a secure place and never share your private keys or recovery phrase with anyone. It's also wise to make multiple backups of your recovery phrase and store them securely in different locations. Remember, losing access to your private keys or recovery phrase means losing access to your crypto forever, so handle them with care and caution.

By following these basic steps you can greatly reduce the risk of losing your crypto assets and ensure they remain safe and accessible only to you.
